Yesterday, I had the honor of performing in my first Story Pirate show.  The Story Pirates is a group of comedians and actors that work closely with educators to create a MIND BLOWING experience for kids.  In a nutshell, we encourage kiddos to write stories.  Then we read them, laugh at their pure brilliance, and turn them into shows using a combo of sketch comedy and improv.  And then, the most fun part: we go around schools performing them for tons of excited, giggling kids in hopes of inspiring them to believe in their own creativity.

The story pirates has two hubs: Los Angeles and New York City.  And they’ve got the backing of some of the most genius comedic geniuses, including John Oliver, Conan O’Brien, Jon Stewart, to name a few.  Check out some of their takes on story pirating here:
